Prom is one of the biggest dances in high school, especially for seniors. It was held at Eagle Glen Country Club in Corona on Sat., April 29. Most of the seniors, including the ones who typically never go to the dances, attended the final dance.

The theme was Beauty and the Beast based on the new Disney remake that came out in theaters in March. The decor included a rose centerpiece which was similar to the one in the movie, and the room had a pink tint which brought everything together.

The king and queen were finally introduced towards the end of the night. Cheyenne Hampton was crowned queen and the king was David Lira. In the video uploaded to theboltlive.com, both were shocked but very excited when they were announced king and queen. They slow danced to ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perrie.

This dance was filled with long, elegant dresses. But the only problem or drama throughout the night was that all the guests kept accidentally stepping on each other’s dresses, causing a bit of a frenzy. “I got my dress tailored before I went because I did not want any problems,” said Corri Harrison, senior.

“Enjoy your final song of your last high school dance,” the DJ told the crowd as there were five more minutes left of the night. These words sent chills up all the seniors spines as they danced to ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journee.
