ASB elections are already here. Next year’s officers were announced at the end of the day on Friday, April 20, in the quad.

These candidates ran for ASB offices:

Juniors Danielle Gomez and Brian Macedo ran for ASB President, and Danielle will be ASB president next year.

Kenia Alexander, junior; Adrián Llamas, sophomore; Amanda Ortega, junior; and Isha Tripathi, sophomore, were running for vice president, and Amanda will fill the position in 2018-19.

Genesis Alaniz, sophomore; Mia Durate, junior; and Geoffrey Varas, junior, ran for secretary, and Geoffrey will be secretary in the coming year.

Cassy Flores, sophomore, and Gavino Loera, junior, were candidates for treasurer, and Cassy was the only younger classman who beat out an upper classman.

Adrian Llamas encouraged the studentbody to vote. He said, “Get out and vote! Even if you don’t vote for me, it still matters.”

Students from each class came together to vote for their most desired choices to see who could inspire the most school spirit and initiate fun activities with the fellow students.

Congratulations to the winners.

We look forward to an amazing year in ASB next year.
