After Tuesday’s performance against the West Covina Bulldogs, the Chargers are now 2-4 in league play.

The heat might have been a factor why Charter Oak took a tough loss to the Bulldogs yesterday, with a final score of 226-264. “We didn’t play our best considering it was at our home course,” said Head Coach Jon Cowper.

Captain Cody Sharp didn’t have as stellar of a day and declined to respond when asked what he shot for the day. “I did terrible.” said Sharp. “I don’t even want to talk about what I shot yesterday. It was just an off day; you have good days and bad days. Yesterday was a bad day”.

Although the Chargers took a fat L yesterday, first year golfer Nathan Boggs, who shot 61, took this as a learning experience. “I did decent for my first match,” Boggs said when asked about his performance yesterday. “I definitely need improvement with it being my first year, and I see myself getting better with the help of my experienced coaches and teammates”.

The Chargers play West Covina and Walnut in a tri-match at the California Country club today. This will conclude league play for Charter Oak, and CIF is next.
