On Friday, April 20, Charter Oak High School held an anti-bullying assembly to warn the studentbody of the effects that bullying can have on mental and physical health. Facts about bullying were announced by the host while professional bikers performed tricks, many that were orginal. They kept the attention of the students.

“Be different, be you. No one ever thought this was a real profession, but look at us making a change,” they said.

Bullying impacts everyone’s lives now, especially through social media with this generation of students. It’s not just social media either; it happens in everyday situations. People think that their more offensive jokes are not bullying and try to normalize it, such as calling a friend lame or stupid.

Hopefully, the assembly It made people stop and think: am I a bully?
